The Beginig

Alright so far the main character named Sal, is travleing around the country meeting alsorts of people. The main reason he started his journey was because his aquantince Dean told him to come see him out in Denver, so Sal went to go see him. I'm actualy not quite sure What the deal with Dean is he's a pretty weired guy and I'm not really sure what his relationship with Sal is. The main point of this blog is to coment on the fact that for the first part of his trip Sal only ate apple pie and ice cream. Personally i belive that this is a metaphor for the American dream. Apple pie is one of the biggest symbols for America, and while travling Sal is tasting the American dream of freedom and independece.
